Meet Mei-Ling

Mei-Ling has had a long-time relationship with cannabis, starting in her late teens and throughout most of her corporate years. She believes cannabis has helped her be a better version of herself, especially after she had her two boys and life became exponentially more rewarding, fun, and chaotic. 

Higher Dama Consulting was founded from her desire to help cannabis brands grow and flourish. Her desire is to help cannabis brands grow their sales and expand into new markets with sustainable growth over time by getting their products into the hands of consumers. 

Before cannabis, Mei-Ling worked for almost 20 years in regulated CPG sales with Altria Group. She spearheaded their retail digital marketing strategy, developed and implemented wholesale and retail trade programs across multiple categories, forged vital partner relationships, and led multi-level sales organizations. When she started with STIIIZY three years ago, Mei-Ling had to bury the corporate side of her where standard data, processes, and infrastructure already existed to be able to maneuver and thrive in the cannabis start-up world. This meant throwing out the rigid business approaches she had previously worked with and learning how to pivot, being flexible with her mindset, always asking lots of questions, and being curious to know more and understand the cannabis world. In three years, She helped build the Michigan sales from nothing to about $2 million and helped STIIIZY become a Top 5 vape brand. They were the #10 vape brand in Nevada when she started, and when Mei-Ling left in April 2022, they were the #1 vape brand with 7-digit sales. She also led the launch teams for STIIIZY in Arizona, where they catapulted to 7-digit sales and the #4 brand in 4 months.

Mei-Ling’s greatest strength is solving the problem of how to best go to market in a way that drives sustainable and scalable sales. With her experience and expertise, she helps brands determine the right path to higher consumer sales and profitability, expand into new markets through asset-light strategies and partnerships, and assist with building and training sales teams.
